There is no God given right to travel to America. There is no mandate that says our borders must be open to all. The only thing we said as a people is that if you come in peace, with a desire to make a better life that America is for you. Now those of us already here get to decide what that entails...Those who hold the high ground and all that.
As a country we had our legislators pass laws to help us keep out those who would overthrow our government. The President signed it into law. So it is not unconstitutional to not allow random folks to wander into America. Part of that law says that when people claim religious persecution, we ask them what religion they are so that we could verify their story. So there is a religious test, and always has been.
From 1926 to 1965 there was no legal immigration to the USA.

I just thought I should throw these things out there as the main stream media can't be bothered to do any research on their own.
